A gold and platinum drawing is made by dragging a 24k gold and platinum rod across a surface.

This is an old technique which was very popular in the15th century (silver point, gold point, and metal point).

Using this medium, tonal differences are built very slowly therefore drawings are in low contrast.

The drawings are subtle and delicate in tonal values that reflect metallic gold and platinum in certain angles.
